Beyonce After Obama Election


Popular singer Beyonce was so inspired the day Barack Obama made history by becoming the first African-American President of the U.S, that she wore a blue suit and tie in honor of Obama with high heels that were red, white and blue. Beaming, she said:



"I've never been so patriotic!", she laughed. "I'm just beyond excited. I'm there. I cant wait. I feel like all of us, we're ready to do whatever we have to do. Whatever they want- if they need me to volunteer, they need me to sing, I'm there, and I'm ready."

Oscar Winning Actor Morgan Freeman Hospitalized In Serious Condition


Actor Morgan Freeman, 71, was hospitalized and in serious condition after a car crash in a rural road in the Mississippi Delta and flipped several times.


Freeman was airlifted and brought to the Regional Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee, about 145 kilometers north of the accident in Tallahatchie Country.


Kathy Stringer, hospital spokeswoman said the actor was in serious condition but declined to discuss his injuries.

Meryl Streep Shines In "Mamma Mia"


Many viewers express surprise that Meryl Streep has turned out to be such a good singer. Streep not only sang well but infused her character with thrilling vitality, range and thespic commitment.

How could she have turned such a good singer? The fact is, Meryl Streep studied at Yale, where she honed not only her acting ability but also her singing skills. “Mamma Mia” is not her first musical role. She starred in other roles where she displayed her thespic talent in singing. When the film version of “Evita” was being cast, Streep was among the frontrunners until commercial considerations prompted the project’s producer to give the role to a more bankable Madonna.

Streep’s sterling record has been shown from her early films in 1977’s “Julia” “The Deer Hunter” and “Kramer vs Kramer.” Her award producing performances in “The French Lieutenant’s Woman”, and later her Best Oscar performance for “Sophie’s Choice.” Other exceptional characterizations followed in “Silkwood”, “Out of Africa”, “A Cry in the Dark,” “Postcards from the Edge,” “The Bridges of Madison Country,” “Dancing at Lughnasa,” and the recent “The Devil Wears Prada”, for a total of 14 Oscar nominations.

Britney Spears To Pay $ 20,000 Monthly For Child Custody



For the care and custody of their two children Britney Spears will pay $ 20,000 a month in child support to Kevin Federline, ex-husband.

The payment is a $ 5,000 increase over what the singer Spears and Federline, the dances agreed last year, the court paper showed.

Spears will also make a final payment of $ 250,000 to his lawyers. The agreement formally settles the custody case between Britney and her ex-husband, Kevin Federline.

William Petersen Is Leaving 'CSI'


William Petersen will end participation as an original member of 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigator," this coming season, according to his executive producers, Carol Mendelsohn and Shankar.


The move might make the fans of his brainy crimebuster role in Gil Grissom, but Petersen has agreed to return for occasional quest apperances and will remain a "CSI" executive producer.

Juan Carlos Lecompte, Says Wife’s Love For Him “Could have disappeared”


Juan Carlos Lecompte, the husband of rescued Colombian hostage Ingrid Betancourt says their marriage may be over, in an interview with the Bogota newspaper El Tiempo.

He said Betancourt greeted him coldly. Then she went to France without him, accompanied by her two children from a previous marriage. Lecompte said her love for him “could have disappeared” during six years as rebel hostage.

Nicole Kidman Gives Birth To A Baby Girl


Nicole Kidman, the Australian actress gives birth to a baby named Sunday on Monday. The is the first for Kidman and Keith Urban.


"Nicole and Keith Urban are delighted to announce that Nicole Kidman gave birth to a baby girl on Monday morning, July 7, 2008, in the United States. Sunday Rose Kidman Urban weighed six pounds, 71/2 ounces. Husband Keith was by Nicole's side and mother and baby are very well," says a statement e-mailed to the associated Press through Paul Freunlich, a publicist for Urban.

Martha Stewart Banned From Entering Britain


Martha Stewart, the lifestyle guru, has been banned from entering Britain because of her criminal record. But she was welcomed in Poland, where she visited her grandparents’ homeland.


Stewart was planning to visit Britain for business engagements but British newspapers reported Friday that she had been banned and denied permission to enter because of her 2004 conviction for obstructing justice and other crimes

David Archuleta, American Idol' runner-up signs Record Deal


The 17-year-old "Idol" runner-up, David Archuleta has signed a deal with 19 Recordings/ Jive Records, according to a post on the web site of the label managed by "Idol" mentor Simon Fuller.


The new 'American Idol', David Cook, 25, a former bartender from Blue Springs,Missouri, also won a recording contract which comes from winning the title.

Jessica Alba Marries Long Time Boyfriend Warren


Actress Jessica Alba, 27, best-known for her roles in the TV drama "Dark Angel" and the movie "Fantastic Four," got married to her long time boyfriend Cash Warren, on Monday (mAY 19, 2008), her publicist Brad Cafarelli.


Alba, announce her engagement last year. She reportedly pregnant with her first child who is expected in the early summer of 2008.


Warren was director assistant when he met Alba on the set of "Fantastic Four" in 2004. Warren since moved into producing.

Drew Barrymore in Car Accident


Monday, May 12, actress Drew Barrymore was rear-ended in a hit-and run car accident and managed to follow the offending vehicle to get its license plate number, which she then handed over to country sherift Sgt. Kristin Aloma, report said.


Barrymore, 33 yrs. old actress, was not injured in the said accident in West Hollywood, Los Angeles. Although following someone after accident "could be dangerous," said the sherift.

Britney Spears Arrives In LA Courtroom For Her Child-Custody Hearing


Britney Spears quietly entered the courtroom witnessed by a handful of people, a departure from the circus that surrounded her January trip to the courthouse.


Spears arrived wearing a brown polka-dot dress and white sweater, flanked by few people including her parents and attorney Blair Burke. About 15 minutes later, her x-husband Kevin Federline arrived in beiged pin-striped suit and was accompanied by attorney Mark Vincent and spokesman Elliot Mintz.


Reporters were asked to be removed from the courtroom. The 26-years old pop star has been under the conservatorship of her father James Spears. Since January, ex-husband Federline has had full custody of his two sons, two-year-old Sean Preston and one-year-old Jayden James. Rpears visitation right were suspended at the time, but are non gradually restored.

Patrick Swayze has Pancreatic Cancer


"Dirty Dancing" actor Patrick Swayze has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer but is responding to will treatment, his publicist Annett Wolf said.

The 55- year-old actor and dancer, also star in such hit film as "Ghost", was still working during his treatments, reports said. His publicist dismissed reports in tabloid media that portrayed him in grave condition with only weeks to live.

Federer, Henin Named Laureus Top Athletes


Roger Federer and Justine Henin got the Laureus Awards on Monday as the world's top sportsman and woman for 2007.

Henin was voted for the first time while Federer won for times in succession. " I am thankful the jury didn't think there was enough," Federer said.

Henin because the first tennis player to win 10 titles in a reason since Martina Hingis 10 years ago. The winners were chosen by members of the Laureus Sports Academy.

Diana's Letters Read At Inquest


Letters of the late Princess Diana to " Darling Dodi" were read during the British inquest into the deaths of the couple on the night of Aug.31,1997. In one of the letters, Diana thanked Dodi Fayed for a six-day holiday on his yacht in the summer of 1997. Excerpts of the letter: " This comes with all the love in the world and as always a million heartfelt thanks for bringing such joy into this chick's life."

Another letter which the princess sent with cufflinks read: "Darling Dodi, these cufflinks were the very last gift from the man I loved most in the world, my father. They are given to you as i know how much joy it would give him to know they were in such safe and special hands. Fondest love, Diana."

Barron Hilton, chairman of the Conrad N.Hilton Foundation and grandfather of hotel heiress Paris Hilton, announnced on Wednesday " to contribute 97 percent of his entire net worth, estimated today at $2.3 billion, including the created trusts,at whatever value it is at the time of his passing," the foundation statement said.

That fortune includes $1.2 billon Barron Hilton stands to earn from the sale of Hilton Hotels Corporation and the pending sale of Harrah's Entertainment Inc., One of the world's biggest casino company.
