Taylor Swift is AP Entertainer of the Year


The 20-year-old country singer Taylor Swift was chosen by the Associated Press as Entertainer of the year 2009. Swift fallows last year winner, Tina Fey, and last 2007’s pick, Stephen Colbert.

“I am so honored and so excited. This was so unexpected, and I could not be more grateful.” Swift said in an interview by the AP.

Swift was acclaimed for her autobiographical and songwriting in tunes such as “Love Story” and “White Horse.” She also won album of the year from the Country Music Awards and the Country Music Association Awards. She won five American Music awards, including artist of the year.

"This Is It" of Michael Jackson Surpassed $ 200-Million Mark




“This Is It,” Michael Jackson’s farewell movie, has surpassed past the $ 200-million mark worldwide since it’s showing two weeks ago, Sony Pictures revealed Thursday.
The film which shows rehearsal footage of Michael Jackson for his doomed concert comeback has reportedly grossed more than $ 61 million in North America and $ 140 million internationally, Sony said in a statement.

Jackson, died in Los Angeles from an overdose of prescription drugs.

Paula Abdul Out In American Idol




Why Paula Abdul was out in the big business television American Idol is anyone’s guess. No matter what the rumor mills tell us, we will never know why, only powers in the boardrooms in Idol or the people at Fox which produces AI.


Did Fox refuse the salary she wanted? Was Paula having a drinking problem? Were other judges getting better treatments perhaps? We can only speculate

Reese Witherspoon Talks About Her Parenting Style



Witherspoon, a movie-star mom who currently stars on an animated movie, Monster Vs. Aliens, as the voice of Ginormica ( a young girl who morphs into a 15-metre giant and helps save the planet), shares some of her thoughts on parenting her own kids in her latest interview w/ Margy Rochlin :


“I’m not a super-strict parent, but I think it’s important to have roles for children. It gives them a sense of structure and that’s what we are all seeking. We just want to know when we’ve done something right or wrong. That’s what I’m trying to teach my own children.” [ Ava, nine, and Deacon, five ].

O'neal To Marry Cancer-Stricken Farrah Fawcett


Ryan O’neal is set to marry cancer-stricken Farrah Fawcett, according to ABC News Monday.

O’neal , 68, and Fawcett, 62, have been romantically involved off-and-on since 1982. They have a son named Redmond. The actor revealed that his love Farrah is “fighting for her life.”

“I’ve asked her to marry me, again, and she’s agreed,’ said O’nael to ABC television’s Barbara Walters. “It’s a love story. I just don’t know how to play this one. I won’t know this world without her. Cancer is an insidious energy,’ O’neal said. The actor revealed that Fawcett’s cancer has spread to her liver and that his treatment had effectively ended.
